On March 19, 2026, the Alsace final of the 13th edition of the “My Thesis in 180 Seconds” (MT180) competition took place in the Cavaillès amphitheatre at the University of Strasbourg, in front of high school students, invited guests, members of the public, and online viewers.
Twelve PhD candidates presented their research topics in turn, each within three minutes. The jury’s second prize was awarded to Antoine Rittaud, from the Charles Sadron Institute (Mcube team) and the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Tomorrow’s Energies (LIED – CNRS/Université Paris Cité).
Antoine will now go on to compete in the Grand Est final, which will be held on Thursday, April 9 at the Planetarium of the Jardin des sciences.
