The amazing ability of Wiebke Drenckhan to share foam physics with the general public using art as a support for scientific mediation has been recognized by the CNRS through the scientific mediation medal, that she received on November 6th, 2023 (picture of the ceremony below, photo credits: Nicolas Busser, CNRS). Drops, bubbles and foams are not only extremely interesting objects in terms of scientific understanding, but also beautiful systems that allow very constructive interactions between artists and scientists. Wiebke has been fostering such exchanges and using art & science actions to invite the general public in her foam physics world in a very original way, recognized by this medal.
Congratulations Wiebke for this award!
