The Physics of Membranes and Soft Matter Team is composed of theoreticians and experimentalists sharing a common interest in the physics and physical chemistry of soft matter. Endowed with historical expertise in the study of lipid systems, the team has broadened its research themes to the study of active colloidal systems and sees the emergence of new and interdisciplinary themes within this broad scope. The members of the team also invest significantly in teaching missions, in particular in condensed matter physics training. Our research themes fit harmoniously into the priority research areas of the Charles Sadron Institute: Fundamental aspects of polymers and soft matter, Self-assembly, Soft matter at interfaces.
